Sierra is a force of nature. A businesswoman, beauty queen, and scrappy go-getter, Sierra has been an incredibly involved part of Cabana Anna Swimwear and brought the 🔥 to our LA fashion shows last season. Currently shooting in the South of France, we were able to grab some quick face time with her before her flight to learn more about what drives this Miss California and how her LA story has shaped out so far.
What's your favorite style of swimsuit/what is your favorite Cabana Anna design? My favorite style of swimsuit is something classy but with sex appeal, preferably cheeky bottoms but not too tiny. My favorite Cabana Anna design is the Kamari Bow Bandeau paired with the Santorini High-waisted Bottoms.
What's your favorite beach in the world (that you’ve been to)? My favorite beach that I have been to is Boca Chica beach in the Dominican Republic, the water is crystal clear!
What's your favorite beach activity? My favorite beach activity is beach volleyball, nothing like getting a tan in while also working out!
If you could travel to one place you’ve NEVER been, where would it be? I am dying to go to Cuba!
What do you love most about your body and why? I love that I am naturally proportionate.
When do you feel your most confident? I feel most confident when I have had a full nights rest, with a good night of sleep I am ready to conquer anything!
What were your goals for 2017 and how have you pursued them? My goals for 2017 were to sign to a new modeling agency, win a preliminary title for Miss California USA and move into my own apartment. I pursued these goals by updating my portfolio, eating healthy and focusing on what I have to offer as a title holder versus what I hoped to gain as a title holder and eating at home more to save up to move out on my own.
Fondest childhood memory? My fondest childhood memory is visiting my family in Florida for Christmas one year, I have always felt happiest near the ocean.
Where did you go to school? I graduated from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration in May of 2015.
When and why did you move out to LA? I moved to LA in the Fall of 2012 to attend USC and pursue a modeling and acting career.
What's been the most exciting thing about moving to LA? The opportunity! There are so many opportunities in LA for networking and growing your brand it is pretty incredible. You never know who you may run into!
Who is your biggest inspiration? I am inspired by a lot of great women, but one of my biggest is Cindy Crawford.
What is your biggest passion? My biggest passion is sharing my story to inspire other low-income and first-generation college students to chase their dreams.
What is a fun fact most people don't know about you? I am obsessed with ice cream.
What moment in your life has been the most significant and life-changing? Graduating from USC was the most significant and life-changing moment in my life thus far.
