Meet Cabana Babe Sierra!

Sierra is a force of nature. A businesswoman, beauty queen, and scrappy go-getter, Sierra has been an incredibly involved part of Cabana Anna Swimwear and¬†brought the ūüĒ•¬†to our LA fashion shows last season. Currently¬†shooting in the South of France, we were able to grab some quick face time with her before her flight to learn more about what drives this Miss California and how¬†her LA story has shaped¬†out so far.¬†

What's your favorite style of swimsuit/what is your favorite Cabana Anna design? My favorite style of swimsuit is something classy but with sex appeal, preferably cheeky bottoms but not too tiny. My favorite Cabana Anna design is the Kamari Bow Bandeau paired with the Santorini High-waisted Bottoms.

I pursued these goals by updating my portfolio, eating healthy and focusing on what I have to offer as a title holder versus what I hoped to gain as a title holder and eating at home more to save up to move out on my own.

Fondest childhood memory? My fondest childhood memory is visiting my family in Florida for Christmas one year, I have always felt happiest near the ocean.

Where did you go to school? I graduated from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration in May of 2015.

When and why did you move out to LA? I moved to LA in the Fall of 2012 to attend USC and pursue a modeling and acting career.

What's been the most exciting thing about moving to LA? The opportunity! There are so many opportunities in LA for networking and growing your brand it is pretty incredible. You never know who you may run into!

Who is your biggest inspiration? I am inspired by a lot of great women, but one of my biggest is Cindy Crawford.

What is your biggest passion? My biggest passion is sharing my story to inspire other low-income and first-generation college students to chase their dreams.

What moment in your life has been the most significant and life-changing? Graduating from USC was the most significant and life-changing moment in my life thus far.

Meet Cabana Babe Jacque (Looks For Lovelies)

We love San Diego-based "30 something midsize beauty and style blogger" Jacque (the blogger behind Looks for Lovelies) and the message she sends to her fans with every perfectly coordinated look and thoughtfully written post:

"I truly believe all women of all sizes should feel and dress confidently in both their clothing and beauty wardrobes. Cheers to a more confident you!"

Check out how Jacque likes to style her favorite apia one piece // petal on the beach and strolling the streets of SD:

"This pretty blush swim Cabana Anna Swimwear is so fun with it’s rope detail lace up back, twisty front and the pretty bubblegum pink color. I love the shape and cut of the suit and their heart sunnies are so much fun too! I paired my suit with my favorite blush kimono for a little texture and a little coverage since this swimmer happens to be a little cheeky."

Meet Cabana Babe Kate ‚ö°

By Anna Finch

Meet Cabana Babe Kate ‚ö°

Brunette beauty Kate joins us today to chat about everything from bikinis and beach destinations to defining life moments and her Los Angeles journey.

A journalist, actress, model, host, and USC grad, Kate is a multi-talented quintuple threat (and unicycle-extraordinaire) who we shot in Bel Air with talented photographer Joshua Garcia at a gorgeous estate and sprawling, sun-soaked patio.

What's your favorite style of swimsuit and your favorite Cabana Anna design? I love the Moorea Triangle Top because the white floral pattern is too cute, and then all of the one pieces are incredibly flattering and make every body type look amazing.

What's your favorite beach in the world (that you’ve been to)? I loved Ventanas beach in Costa Rica. I went there while on a service trip and the beach was absolutely beautiful. Ventanas means windows in Spanish and the beach is called that because there are huge caves lining the shore that look like windows to the ocean.

What's your favorite beach activity? Having bonfires and cookouts on the beach is essentially my favorite thing ever. Bring on the s'mores!

What are your must-have beauty items on the beach? I have to have my Vagabond beach towel because it's super big and also really cute so it's a must have when I lay out and then of course some body oil to get bronzed and a good book to keep myself entertained.

If you could travel to one place you’ve NEVER been, where would it be? GREECE. I have always loved the idea of visiting Greece, with the blue ocean and white houses, I think it's the prettiest place ever.

What do you love most about your body and why? I love my legs, they're long lol

When do you feel your most confident? Whenever I go to really nice events I actually feel really confident because I love to dress up and try new hair or makeup styles. I do a lot of red carpet reporting so for example, during the Oscars I was able to get really dolled up and I thought it was so much fun. If you're having fun then confidence comes right along with it.

What were your goals for 2017 and how have you pursued them? My goal in 2017 was to become a better TV host and I can happily say I've definitely done that. I took a hosting class and really grew as a broadcaster and now go on auditions weekly for hosting gigs. It's my passion!

What was the most exciting thing you did this summer? I went Skydiving!

Fondest childhood memory? Sailing with my entire family on Lake Erie.

Where did you go to school? USC!

Shot by photographer Dale Benfield

What is a fun fact most people don't know about you? I can ride a unicycle!

When and why did you move out to LA? I moved to LA 6 years ago after transferring to USC from Michigan State University. I always knew I wanted to live in California to pursue hosting and acting and I had gone through a really tough time in Michigan so the chance to start fresh was exactly what I needed. Plus, USC is the best school out there.

What's been the most exciting thing about moving to LA? All of the opportunities and crazy things that I've been able to do. Never did I imagine myself interviewing my idol, Sandra Bullock or meeting people from all over the world who I can now go visit. LA opened up so many doors in my life.

Walking our catwalk at Skybar for Cabana Anna Swimwear's Coachella Kickoff Bikini Fashion Show.

What are some of your favorite LA haunts that you've recently discovered and would recommend to our readers? Murphy's Ranch - it's a creepy, abandoned former Nazi sympathizer camp that is now covered in spray paint. The hike there is easy and it's interesting to explore.

A bit of historical  context:
"In the early 1900’s, during WWII, Winona and Norman Stephens were convinced by a German named Herr Schmidt that when Germany ultimately won the war, the American government would not be able to stay afloat and there would be a time of anarchy in the United States. During that time the Stephens’ would be able to live in their self-sustaining community and then come out when the opportunity presented itself to help with the German take over. Thus, they set out to build a massive area they could use to keep them safe during the war.
As we all know, the Germans lost. Around the time of Pearl Harbor the Stephens’ were taken into custody from their home. All in all it is said that over 4 million dollars was invested into this ranch and there is an amazing set of structures with that money. Among what they made was a power station, machine shed, fully irrigated hillside for growing food, raised gardens, a massive water tank and even a place to store diesel fuel." - via Josh of

Who is your biggest inspiration? My Aunt Cheryl is. She has rheumatoid arthritis and is in constant pain but she doesn't ever let that hold her back. She's worked the night shift as a nurse in a hospital for my entire life and she still cares for and loves people unconditionally and fiercely despite her ailments. She's selfless and I strive to be just like her.

What is your biggest passion? Performing and entertaining others. I love to be on a stage, whether it's dancing, acting or hosting because I get to show the world my talents and what I love to do.

What moment in your life has been the most significant and life-changing? My best friend died when I was a freshman in college and while devastating, it really shaped my life. She was my mentor and she meant the world to me so losing her taught me what it feels like to be in true pain and because of that I now have the ability to help others through their struggles with a deeper sense of understanding and sympathy. It taught me how to love others more than I did before.

We loved spending time with Kate and hearing about the good and the bad, the silly and the inspiring. We look forward to being part of her LA journey!

Meet Cabana Babe Abby!

By Anna Finch

Meet Cabana Babe Abby!
Shoe expert and fashionista Abby joins us today to answer a bunch of fun questions about life, confidence, and her favorite swimmies! Check out her answers below and then hop on over to Sea Salt & Stilettos to find your next pair of lust-worthy heels!
What's your favorite style of swimsuit and what is your favorite Cabana Anna design?
I love bandeaus paired with a great cheeky bottom - I always feel the most comfortable in that style!  The open back Apia one-piece is my favorite Cabana Anna design because the gathered "knot" in the front near the stomach is slimming and the multi-way tie fits any size bust! I got mine in Coastal turquoise of course :)

What's your favorite beach in the world (that you’ve been to)?

Definitely Olbia in Sardinia, Italy! There are seashells everywhere and the water is so clear you can see down to your toes even when you're in up to your hips. It's literally crystal clear. Did I mention it's a nude beach?¬†ūüėČ

That's too funny! Besides lounging in the nude, what's your next favorite beach activity?

I got into surfing this year, which has become my new favorite beach activity. I can even surf in my Apia one piece - it laces up and stays on so well - but look extra cute while doing it!

What are your must-have beauty items on the beach?

I always bring coconut oil for my skin and lemon juice for my hair - gets me bronze and blonde!

Love those all-natural beauty tips - they're definitely working! If you could travel to one place you’ve NEVER been, where would it be?

I've heard that Greece has the best beaches in the world.

Here at Cabana Anna, we're all about female empowerment, body positivity, and loving yourself! When do you  feel your most confident and what do you love most about your body?

I feel the most confident when I'm in heels. I swear it has a mental effect on my attitude and vibe, which is why I got into blogging about it - shoes have always been my passion. I like my legs the most because I love to run and I feel like they're the strongest part of my body.

What were your goals for 2016 and how did you pursue them?

I started a new job in the new year, so my biggest goal was to just take on the challenge of a newer, more difficult position, do the best I can and hopefully come out on top with a good review at the end of my first year. I have also wanted to start my own blog for a long time where can I write about shoes, traveling and home decor. Lastly, my third goal was to go to Thailand in 2016, it's been a dream trip of mine for a long time.

I have pursued my goals by learning to stop feeling sorry for myself for having to work hard and to give my job 110%. I also stopped making excuses for not having enough time and recently launched my own blog. And lastly, I made a shot gun decision and bought a ticket to Thailand in December. The biggest thing I've learned this year is that if you want something, you have to make it happen for yourself - no one is going to hand you anything and it won't happen over night by itself.

Get Bronzed Like Tash Oakley from A Bikini A Day!

By Anna Finch

Get Bronzed Like Tash Oakley from A Bikini A Day!

Get a beach babe bronze like Tash Oakley (the healthy way!)

If there’s anyone who knows how to rock designer swimwear, it’s Tash Oakley. This Australian beauty’s healthy, gorgeous figure always sports an awesome tan that makes her bikinis POP. Want to get that beachy glow? Here are our tips!

Tash is an advocate of bronzing makeup¬†but we sometimes prefer going barefaced to the beach and building a (safe) base tan in advance with a tanning lotion. Don‚Äôt let visions of Oompa Loompas and stripey streaks deter you from your goal ‚Äď a HEALTHY tan! The process is simple if you follow our instructions and our recommended bronzers will leave you glowing gold, not orange, from head to toe! ¬†¬†¬†

Assemble your materials:

Exfoliating scrub

Tanning mitt

Foaming tanner or Tanning towels (easier for first-timers)

  1. Ideally do this at night so that you can go to sleep after. You don’t want to get smudged!
  2. Shower thoroughly and exfoliate like a madwoman. We prefer a gentle, natural exfoliator (say NO to microbeads!)
  3. Shave everything you want to have shaven that week ‚Äď there is no turning back once the tan has been applied because shaving over tanned areas can cause patchiness.
  4. Dry off.
  5. You sure you’re dry? Dry off again.
  6. Put on that sweet tanning mitt.
  7. If you’re using a foam, pump a small cotton-ball’s worth into your mitt. If using a towel, open one packet and remove the towel.
  8. We like to start with our feet first, gradually working our way up using circular movements and blendinngggg thoroughly. Go very lightly over the feet, ankle, knee, and elbow areas, since the dryer skin can absorb more tanner and become dark and patchy (yuck).
  9. Save your face for last and go easy ‚Äď you don‚Äôt want to give yourself an orange moustache! Apply to your forehead, cheeks, nose bridge, and chin, then begin blending outward.
  10. Don’t put on clothes! Start watching cat videos on your phone because you’re going to be drying and waiting around naked for awhile (at least 5-10 minutes).
  11. Go to sleep, preferably naked. Do not sweat, do not shower, do not pass go, do not collect $200.
  12. Wake up bronzed and beautiful ;)

Extra tips: Shower first thing in the morning after tanning to get off residual lotion, moisturize your skin daily and keep hydrated to make your tan last longer, and don't use harsh cleansers on your body!

Meet Cabana Babe Bonnie!

Meet Cabana Babe Bonnie!

Bonnie is Taylor Swift meets Marilyn Monroe with an extra helping of sunshine and infectious energy. Originally hailing from Jonesboro, Arkansas, this beauty travelled all the way to LA to chase her dreams of becoming an actress and a model! After a gorgeous day on Venice beach shooting with Bonnie and photographer Dale Benfield, we sat down to learn a little bit more about this bombshell ‚Äď from fashion to self-confidence to inspiration, here‚Äôs what makes this LA style blogger‚Äôs world go round:¬†

First things first! We’re water babies at Cabana Anna Swimwear and we want to know what your favorite beach in the world is.

My favorite beach is Destin, Florida. It's the first beach I've ever been to and I have great memories growing up on that beach!

When you’re at the beach, how do you do your VERY best relaxing and unwinding?

I’ll be stretched out on a beach chair with my toes in the sand, sharing a drink and some laughs with my girlfriends!

What are your must-haves for the beach ?

When I’m on the beach, I love to have a magazine, a cute beach bag (my fave is by Valerie Rene), and Maybelline Babylips Balm with SPF!

If you could travel to one place you’ve never been, where would it be?

We love Hawaii! Maui would have to be our favorite island. What kind of swimsuit would we find you in the minute you land in Hawaii?

I love a bandeau bikini top. It's a natural fit, comfy, and you can add straps to change the look up! You can go from the beach to the hills and convert a bandeau easily into a sports bra when you’re on vacation. My fave Cabana Anna swimsuit would have to be the Hermosa bow top bandeau in hot pink!

What do you love most about your body and why?

I wouldn't say there's one particular thing I love most about my body, but if I had to choose, probably my height! ¬†I‚Äôm 5‚Äô 10‚ÄĚ. But when it comes to swim suits I love that my boobs aren't too big lol. I think it‚Äôd be more difficult finding the right fit or wearing bandeaus if they were! I'm also a fan of my freckles ;)¬†

What makes you feel your most confident?

When my lashes look on point and I have lipstick on! My favorites are "they’re real!" by Benefit and NYX "Shocking Pink" lipstick!

What were your goals for 2016 and how have you pursued them?

My goals for 2016 were to not hold grudges, to be quick to forgive, and to follow my dreams. I've done that by being bold in all of my decisions, including moving to LA from my home state of Arkansas!

Why did you move out to LA?

To pursue acting and modeling, to meet people, and to explore more opportunities!

What's been the most exciting thing about moving to LA?

So far it's been meeting people from all over the world through my acting program and getting to model for Cabana Anna Swimwear!

What are some of your favorite LA haunts that you've recently discovered and would recommend to our readers?

You've got to go to Mauro's Cafe at Fred Segal and get the Fred's Pasta. You've got to hike to the Hollywood sign, it's surreal. And you've got to go to Jessica Biel's Au Fudge to hit up this fun, yummy brunch spot, then spend a day in Malibu with your besties soaking up the sun.

Who is your biggest inspiration?

Sarah Jessica Parker.

She's definitely my fashion icon since she can put anything on and rock it, and she inspires me because she has the confidence and personality that, to me, make her feel genuine and relatable in a way other actresses do not.

My Granddaddy would be my other inspiration :)

He's always been a constant source of strength in my life. Loving me no matter what and always there to give me a hug. He has set such a great example for countless people through loving his family, and having a gracious, loyal heart.
